Default Outpost full hero window option

I know it'll not happen, but one thing I would like to see added to GW would be a hero window when in an outpost where you could open up the window and have all heros available to that character visible in terms of armour and weaponsets.

I spend alot of time in Kamadan and the amount of times someone is WTB (including me) either mods or skins or check runes means its a real nuisance adding 3 heros to be able to see what they have.

It would be very nice just to open as in pressing "I" for Inventory and see all heros ready to view so you could modify weapons / runes etc

Finding stuff on chars you play less often can take ages thats all.

Anyway - let the flaming begin!

That sounds like it would be pretty cluttered.

Would it? In the same way pressing "I" gives a window with 7 heros in it (when in an 8-man outpost), all it needs to do is go 3 times as wide and include every hero, whose weapons and armour would show upon clicking their faces as you do right now whilst ignoring the outpost party number restriction

cluttered is an understatement i feel.
Also is a problem that many of us long termers will understand as anets said it so many times in the past about similar ideas.Best example would be the equipement packs - for ages us players asked anet for some better storage - for tomes and books.
Now anet always stated that to increase storage for players ( standard excuse ) it would involve a lot of storage space on their servers. No idea if anet eventually caved in due to popular demand or just did it to shut us up and gave us both new storage panes and equip packs but they gave in eventually.
Now if we had the ops idea we can see that again anet would state it would take up a lot of storage space.
Also a huge amount of us players who played for a few years woudlnt really have the need for it - how many of us use different hero builds on all chrs ?
Ive been using the same setup on about 8 pve chrs hero`s and i rarely use diff heros - even players with mercs will normally just use their setup and leave it at that.

Yes, appoved. No need for clutter.
Would be very useful to click thru the heroes and weap sets.

The idea of loading them into a window all at once is probably a little awry tho.
How many things can you concentrate on at once ?

25 heroes...one window....I need a bigger computer screen (but I do understand, especially when you have more than 10 characters with 25 heroes each and need to find something that one of them has-----)

maybe a hero panel? where you can see all the heroes that that character has (not the drop down)...and what they have equipped.......

The only way to reduce clutter with this that I can imagine is something like a 'spreadsheet' of hero names, professions and equipment slots, with no 'ragdolls'.

Even if you have that 40 times, you can make it scrollable and it should be easy to sort.

But since equipment goes server-side, it would probably take quite some time to load and be rather laggy.

It could maybe go under Hero Panel (H), make a new tab with the faces of your heroes. Then you click the one you want to see... and it shows up below (the same way it does in your inventory when you click the hero's face)

That way the data wouldn't be in demand all the time, only when you click his face.
It's something we only need once in a while, but when we need it, it drives us nuts :P

Well, either way, they can always take the suggestion for GW2 (or 3)
